In the world of advanced cosmetic facial enhancements, Kelly Carr is a name that is synonymous with uncompromising service to the medical-spa realm.

     Kelly’s career has been a life long love affair with the beauty industry, either performing her thousandth permanent make-up procedure or developing a new injection technique for derma fillers.

     Starting in make-up artistry and colour analysis, she opened her first cosmetic aesthetics services venue having expanded her qualifications and services repertoire to include general aesthetics, sculptural nails and a tanning facility. 

     She mastered the art of cosmetic tattooing (Permanent Make-up), which at the time, was still being performed by implanting pigment into the dermis layer of the skin by means of a primitive style, silk-tied bamboo stick. Within five years, Kelly opened a full service cosmetic aesthetics spa which now included hair and the EMS body toning system. 

     In 1994 after becoming fairly well known in the permanent cosmetics industry, Kelly was featured in a full length article in “Homemakers Magazine” highlighting this unique profession and her considerable talent and pioneering contributions to it. She began teaching permanent make-up in several medical spa outfits as well as at Canada’s leading micro-pigmentation centre.

     Under the guidance of a well-known plastic surgeon, Kelly developed her skills performing lip augmentation procedure injections, known as Medical Aesthtics. Garnering experience from the physicians and product training representatives of manufacturers of Restylane, Perlane, etc., industry professionals noticed Kelly’s expertise and being the technician of choice with many of their clients. At their behest, she began sharing with and teaching her unique techniques to other physicians and clinical staff.

     Kelly then represented several large manufacturers of the most popular derma fillers at trade shows and training sessions. Teaming with Dr. Mark Baily, who is recognized as one of North America’s leading instructor of injection techniques, Kelly began exploring the newer advancements in the area of soft tissue derma fillers, one of today’s most sought-after procedures in the field of cosmetic/medical facial enhancements. The recipient of a prestigious Award of Excellence in Injection Techniques and extensive continued education seminars, including lectures by Dr. Arnie Klein, a renowned Hollywood physician and premier injector, Kelly’s accomplishments and accreditations continue to accumulate. 

     A favorite adage of Kelly’s: “If you have great passion for something, you will never fall short of excellence!” This same passion has been marked at every turn in her career not the least of which now is her new, self-styled “cosmetic/medical esthetics” boutique.
