What is Skin Tightening?

Like other organs in our bodies, as the skin ages, it regenerates at a slower rate and the ability to repair itself is reduced. Skin becomes thin and crepe-like, fat is lost, skin is no longer plump and smooth looking. Blood supply is reduced because of decreasing circulation and collagen breaks down resulting in sagging jowls and skin laxity.

The skin tightening system offers solutions for sagging tissue. This new technology is used to selectively heat the dermal collagen deep in the skin while simultaneously cooling the epidermis.

How long does this treatment take?

The treatment takes about 45 minutes per area with the most popular areas of treatment being the face and neck.

How many treatments will I need and when will results be seen?

Most people require a minimum of 3 treatments spaced out one month apart for best results.

Just after one treatment the client feels like their skin is tighter, but visible improvement in skin tone usually occurs over a 3-6 month period.

How it works

The heat energy from the intense pulse light targets the water in our skin, which is where the collagen is stimulated. The combination of the skin cooling and pulse light can raise the temperature at the desired point. The desired point is the water below the skin, where the collagen sits. The collagen stands then contract in response to this high temperature.

Dermal changes from Fibroblast may be observed between 3-6 months after treatment.

Incremental improvements may progress for six months or longer.

Tightness of the skin is noticed after one treatment.
